A place of living remembrance, in Saône-et-Loire

Our association keeps alive the history of the local Resistance, of the Corlay Maquis, of the epic of Guy de Combaud's SAS commandos and of the Liberation of the Chalonnais — through talks, tours in period jeeps and a commitment to passing this memory on to younger generations.

La Ferté, a place of remembrance of the Resistance and the Liberation

Here we have begun creating a "House of the Resistance and Liberation of the Chalonnais".

  • We are in a region where the Resistance was particularly active.
  • This former abbey was the setting for acts of Resistance.
  • This historic estate has very fine buildings available.

Our ambition: to make this "house" a dynamic place of remembrance.
