Main events in 2009.

"Saint Georges en Bourgogne"

On 26 and 27 April at La Ferté Abbey, with the participation of the ANORABC and the UNOR 71. A programme carried out with some fifty participants:

  • a talk on local 1939–45 history;
  • a tour of the abbey;
  • a display of period equipment;
  • lunch on the château terrace;
  • a Willys-type jeep circuit "in the footsteps of the Corlay Maquis, of Guy de Combaud's SAS jeep detachment, and of the Battle of Sennecey";
  • a moment of reflection at the SAS monument at Ruffey and at Guy de Combaud's stele;
  • a horse ride;
  • a parade of period military vehicles;
  • a gala dinner at the Château de La Ferté;
  • a sightseeing circuit towards Brancion and Chapaize on the Sunday.

Participation in the official ceremony of 4 September, and visits to the SAS museum.

Upcoming events (2009)

"Maquisards" operation: 20–22 or 27–29 March 2009, repeated from 21 to 23 August 2009. Inspired by the action of the SAS in jeeps and by the Corlay and Brancion maquis. A clash between two sides.

Saint Georges en Bourgogne: annual preparation at La Ferté (71).

Official ceremony of 4 September: the association will be present through a delegation of its members, alongside the SAS veterans, so as to ensure the passing on of memory.
