“1944 Remembrance” activities

"1944 Remembrance" activities — a school of patriotism

Our activities, inspired by the Resistance, include as many teenagers as possible — but each accompanied by a parent.

"1944 Remembrance" talks and activities

To associations and youth groups we offer, over a full day or half-day, workshop-based presentations rounded off by a large-scale game or a jeep circuit to the maquis areas.

Some activities held

  • 4, 5 and 12 October 2006, at La Ferté, for around a hundred EDF retirees.
  • 30 May 2006, at La Ferté, for 300 servicemen of the Inter-Service Petroleum Base.
  • 31 May 2007, at Rully, for the BPIA and the UNCRSEA.
  • 26 and 27 April 2008, at La Ferté, for 40 members of the UNORABC and the UNOR.
  • 1 to 3 October 2010, at Champforgeuil, for around a hundred guests of the ORPÉA company.
  • 23 and 25 July 2012, at the Château de Brandon (Charolais), for some fifty guides from across Europe.
  • 3 and 6 September 2014: 70th anniversaries of the Liberation of Sennecey-le-Grand and Chalon-sur-Saône. Deployment of 10 jeeps and a stand for short circuits open to the public. A great success in Chalon.
  • 9 July 2016: "Resistance" activity for a scout camp in the Is-sur-Tille area (21), with 3 jeeps.
  • 1 July 2017: Armed Forces Day, Mâcon. 4 jeeps for short circuits open to the public. A great success.
  • 18 June 2018, at the Ruffey SAS Memorial at the request of the DMD 71: display of 7 jeeps and 1 scout car at a fourragère award ceremony of the 1st RPIMa of Bayonne, heir and keeper of the traditions of the 3rd SAS.

Our concept: a school of patriotism through the discovery of the French countryside, its maquis areas, in vintage jeeps and "field" activities. We hope it will be taken up across every region of France.
